What It’s Really Like Inside an Emergency Rescue Helicopter

LEXINGTON, Ky. —May 26, 2026—Morning Pointe of Lexington Assisted Living will welcome the public for a special Bites and Insights event on May 29, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., featuring emergency helicopter pilot Eric Peterson.

Titled “A Day in the Life of a Helicopter Air Ambulance: True Stories from the Flying Magic Rescue Box in the Sky,” the event will give attendees a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to transport patients from emergency situations by air.

Peterson will share firsthand stories from his experiences as an emergency helicopter pilot, offering insight into the fast-paced world of air ambulance rescue and the teamwork involved when responding to critical situations.

Guests will also enjoy a catered lunch prepared by award-winning chef Kevin Horner.

The event is open to the public and will take place at Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Lexington, located at 233 Ruccio Way in Lexington.
