March for Monarchs Benefits Nursing Scholarships

HIXSON, Tenn. (August 27, 2025) – Morning Pointe of Hixson Senior Living is inviting the community to lace up for a cause at the inaugural March for Monarchs, happening Saturday, September 6, from 9 to 11 a.m.

The family-friendly event features a 1-mile community walk, a shorter Mini March (¼ mile) for kids, strollers, and all abilities, and a special monarch butterfly release at 11 a.m. Along the route, participants will earn stamps toward a commemorative butterfly pin. Registration is $20 per adult and $10 per child.

“March for Monarchs is more than just a walk—it’s a way to bring families, neighbors, and friends together to support the next generation of nursing students,” said Samantha Parker, Community Relations Director. “Every step taken helps fund scholarships and caregiver programs that directly impact our community.”
