Morning Pointe Resident Celebrates 105 Remarkable Years

Chattanooga, TN (August 8)— August 7 marked an extraordinary milestone for Morning Pointe of East Hamilton resident Cellie Bierly, who turned 105 years young. Born August 7, 1920, Bierly has witnessed more than a century of history and change—from the Roaring Twenties to the digital age—and continues to inspire everyone around her with her energy and outlook.

Though modest about the attention, Cellie’s friends, fellow residents, and associates couldn’t let such a special day pass without a celebration. Known for her sharp mind and active spirit, Cellie is a daily presence at nearly every activity Morning Pointe offers—especially anything involving movement.

“You can often find Cellie with her feet propped up and reading a book on the front porch,” said Leigha King, life enrichment director. “She’s also working on a puzzle, walking laps around the community, or attending every single daily activity that we offer—especially anything active.” She’s the kind of person who reminds you that age is just a number.

To mark the occasion, Morning Pointe staff threw a joyful birthday party in her honor and gifted her a custom-made T-shirt in her favorite color—light blue—with “105” proudly printed on the back. The afternoon was filled with laughter, love, and heartfelt moments among friends.

“We are grateful for her wisdom, her kindness, and the example she sets every single day,” added King. “Cellie is truly the heartbeat of our community.”

Local media are invited to meet Cellie Bierly and help celebrate this remarkable milestone. To arrange an interview or visit, please contact Clarissa Alberto at calberto@ihpllc.com
