Morning Pointe Senior Living Residents Honor Beloved Lexington Figure Talbott Todd with Special Outing

LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 14, 2025)– Talbott Todd’s name is etched into Lexington’s history — and now it’s etched onto a street that holds a proud place in University of Kentucky football tradition. Located between Kroger Field and Nutter Field House, “Talbott Todd Way” serves as the iconic Catwalk route for UK football players and fans.

Recently, The Lantern at Morning Pointe Lexington residents took a special trip to the street to honor the legacy of beloved Lexington figure Talbott Todd. For resident Marilynn, who lives in the Lantern memory care program, it was a deeply personal moment — the street bears the name of her late husband, whose decades of dedication to UK athletics left a lasting mark on the community.

The outing reflected Morning Pointe’s mission of celebrating the past while creating meaningful days for residents through structured programming, engaging activities, and daily socialization. It’s about joining each resident’s journey, honoring the life they’ve lived, and ensuring every day is filled with purpose and connection.

“This was more than just a visit,” said Dawn Pittman, Lantern Program Director at Morning Pointe. “It was about connecting Marilynn to a piece of her life story and honoring a name that means so much to Lexington. We strive to create moments like these that remind our residents and their families that their histories matter.”

Local media are invited to meet with Marilynn and her family to help celebrate this special milestone. Interviews and visits will be arranged on a case-by-case basis. For more information, please contact Clarissa Alberto at calberto@ihpllc.com.
