The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Louisville, invites the community to a Kentucky Derby-themed showcase on April 17 from 2-4 p.m.

About the Event

The community, located at 4701 S. Hurstbourne Parkway, is introducing its new leadership team and giving behind-the-scenes tours of the building. Residents, family members and associates will also answer guests’ questions. Hors d’oeuvres and specialty desserts will also be served.

“We can’t wait to welcome the greater community in to meet us and see all that we have to offer here at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Louisville,” said Courtney Whitaker, executive director. “Our community serves residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia and strive to help each person live with dignity and a sense of meaning. We care for their physical needs, and then we also go beyond to care for their psychological and social needs as well. We are here as a resource for their families, too, as they navigate the challenges of their loved ones’ journey with dementia.”
