RUSSELL, Ky. — May 22, 2026—Rev up your engines and cruise on over to the most anticipated car show of the year as Morning Pointe of Russell Assisted Living hosts its 2nd Annual Car Show Extravaganza & Sock Hop on Saturday, June 6, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the community located at 1000 Addington Drive in Russell, Kentucky.
The family-friendly community event will feature classic and collector cars, live entertainment by Lee Dean as Elvis, inflatables, cotton candy, popcorn, awards, and a festive sock hop atmosphere inspired by the golden age of rock and roll.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite retro attire, including poodle skirts, cropped pants, and cat-eye sunglasses, while enjoying an afternoon of music, food, and community fellowship.
“We are excited to bring the community together once again for this fun and meaningful event,” said Whitney Wireman, Executive Director at Morning Pointe of Russell Assisted Living. “This event is not only a celebration of classic cars and music, but also an opportunity to support the important work of the Morning Pointe Foundation.”
Barbecue meals will be available for $10, and vehicle registration for the car show is also $10. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Morning Pointe Foundation, which provides caregiver support programs, sponsors educational awareness events, and funds clinical scholarships to advance senior care.
Whether attendees are car enthusiasts, collectors, or simply looking for a fun afternoon with family and friends, the Car Show Extravaganza & Sock Hop promises entertainment for all ages.
