Krystle Brinkley, lead certified nursing assistant (CNA) for memory care at Morning Pointe of Tullahoma, Tennessee, has been a well-loved member of the team there for the past nine years, and she’s not done yet!

“I love Morning Pointe – I’ll probably retire from Morning Pointe,” she said.

Krystle came to the assisted living and memory care community after working in home health for five years. She took a chance in changing venues, but it worked out perfectly.

“Within a couple of hours, it already felt like home,” Krystle shared. “I just knew this was where I needed to be. Everybody here is family.”

Krystle started as a resident assistant (RA), then became the lead RA before earning her CNA certification. Morning Pointe has encouraged her professional growth and is proud of her.

“She is a dependable and hard-working employee,” said Stacey Nix, Lantern program director at Morning Pointe of Tullahoma. “Krystle’s coworkers often refer to her as the mom of The Lantern. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.”

For her part, Krystle says she has always loved helping people. “I love knowing that what I’m doing makes a difference,” she said. “I play a vital role in the residents having an everyday, normal life.”

Her favorite part of her job, not surprisingly, is helping the residents with the very normal routine of getting up and getting dressed in the morning.

Krystle’s advice to anyone who might be considering working in memory care is, “If you have any kind of compassion, just give it a try. You’ll get a lot more out of it than a lot of people think.”
