Panelists addressed a variety of questions related to helping aging loved ones during the Morning Pointe Foundation’s free Brentwood Caregiver Cafe on April 8, “How to Make Tough Decisions for Your Aging Loved One.”
A Successful Event
Attendees from the greater Nashville area gathered at Morning Pointe of Brentwood, Tennessee, on Wilson Pike. A panel of three local experts shared their most frequently asked questions regarding financial planning, Medicaid and Medicare and veterans benefits. The event ended with opening the floor for direct audience questions.
The panelists were Josh Hunter, associate attorney with Johnson McGinnis Elder Care Law & Estate Planning; Jordon Conoway, Medicare volunteer coordinator with GNRC and SHIP Aging and Disability Services; and Mary Ross-Tarkington, M.ED., NCC, national director of client relations with Elder Veterans Legal Aid Group.
The audience was engaged in the presentation and asked a lot of questions of the panelists, lining up to speak to each of them after the program.
“We had such good feedback from our attendees for Brentwood Caregiver Cafe,” said Miranda Perez, Morning Pointe Foundation executive director. “Our audience members asked some great questions about how to help their loved ones with transitions, and our experts were able to help provide answers and resources for them. This is one reason the Foundation is here.”
