Local dignitaries, student organizations, and community leaders will be represented at the Grand Opening for Morning Pointe of Owensboro Assisted Living on Thursday, April 10.

Grand Opening and Renovations

Taking place from 4-7 p.m. at 3362 Buckland Square, the celebration will include a formal program and ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m.

Acquired by established regional senior living company Morning Pointe Senior Living in September, the assisted living community recently completed a $2.5 million renovation project. This included upgrading care services to bring them to a comprehensive level of assisted living per recent Kentucky regulations, as well as modernizing the physical building.

Speakers and musical guests at the grand opening will include Tom Watson, City of Owensboro mayor, as well as state representatives Suzanne Miles from District 7 and DJ Johnson from District 13, representatives from the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, and the Apollo High School Choir. Following the formal program outdoors (weather permitting) attendees will be invited inside for tours, music and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

“We are excited to invite so many of local governing officials and our community partners to see our beautiful, newly renovated building and celebrate with us as we grow the services available to area seniors,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “We are new to the Owensboro community but have been serving seniors in Kentucky for two decades and are honored to be able to serve the people of Owensboro and the surrounding areas.”

Karleigh Roby, executive director, added, “This will be a wonderful time to share with even more of our greater community what our building is all about. We are about providing a welcoming home for seniors who are still active but need a helping hand. We are about helping these seniors thrive socially, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, in addition to having their medical and physical needs met.”
